Very nice appliance timer
We bought two of these timers. Both work exactly as described. If only they made a 120-60-40-20 minute version...

Excellent...
Have had this timer installed for about two months and trouble-free. Installation is straight forward. This item requires a neutral wire hook-up. Unit sits deep so re-arranging existing wiring in box may be required. Simple to use and adds a nice, high-end feel. When switching on/off, makes less of a clicking noise than a manual switch. Overall, a great product.

Electronic Timer
I use this timer to control the bathroom heater and fan.

When you have children, sometimes one of them forgets to turn off either the fan or the heater. This timer eliminates that problem. Just set it to a time and when it's counted all the way down, it shuts what's connected to it off.

You can also stop the timer by pushing the "shut off" button at the bottom.

Still going strong
Out of all the bathroom fan swith timers I have seen I still like this one the best. Simple installation, simple operation, does just what we need.

I bought four of them almost five years ago and they are all still working just fine. I came here today to order some more for my daughter's condo.

The only criticism I have is the size of the unit can make it a challenge to install if your switch box is jammed with anything else that will take up a lot of space (like a dimmer, for example).

I got really tired of coming home at the end of the day to find somebody had left a fan running all day long. This is a simple solution to the problem.

flimsy buttons break within a year
Looks good, works great until the tiny plastic tabs on the back of the buttons that hold them to the switch receptacle start to break off. This is with once or twice daily use, not an unusual load.

Using tiny plastic bits as functional parts that take stress is a bad design idea.

Too bad, because i was really happy with this product.

Doesn't Last Forever!
I've had the Green Plug on a 1988 refrigerator/freezer in my garage for 10+ years. Unfortunately, when I returned from a deployment following Hurricane Ike, I found all items in the refrigerator/freezer rotted, having been at room temperature for at least 3 weeks! I pulled out the unit, removed the Green Plug, plugged the unit directly into the outlet and it has worked fine since then. I just wish there had been some way for me to have known the Green Plug was about to "give up the ghost!"

I live where summers are Hot~ 100+ degrees~~ So, my garage got really hot many days. Even at that my power bills were somewhat less than other homes around me of like size. So, I know the Green Plug worked!! Now,I find I cannot get another...boo hoo, I would still purchase another one!

Not made anymore for a reason
I bought two of these years ago when they first were made. I put one on my refrigerator (made in 1992) and one on my washing machine; thinking I was doing the right thing for the environment and my wallet.

I recently started working from home and noticed my refrigerator ran all the time. I borrowed a plug-in power meter and ran the refrigerator with and without the GreenPlug. The refrigerator ran more quietly with the GreenPlug but ran longer. The refrigerator was pulling less energy per hour from the grid but by pulling the power for more hours was burning an extra half a kilowatt per day. I did this experiment for several days to verify results. An extra half a kilowatt per day doesn't sound like much but that adds up to over /year for a device that's supposed to save you money.

I also tested the washing machine. Since it is a timed cycle rather than a condition based operation like a refrigerator; it does save a little. However, it would take years to pay back the original investment.

Bottom line: it's not made anymore because it's not a good product. In one instance costing more and in another the savings is so slight it's not worth the time.

Buy from the 'Used and New' merchants.
This GreenPlug energy saver comes with a label that says to make adjustments according to the manual before you plug it in. But there was no manual provided and the supplier was not helpful.
I notice that the 'used and new' suppliers are cheaper and ship with manuals. I still think that this is a worthwhile gadget. I am going to return this one and buy from the other guys.
I found out when I went on the web that the company that made the plug went out of business probably because the technology started to be built in to newer refrigerators starting in 1992.

for pre 1993 refrigerators only--but GREAT
If you have an older refrigerator, this is a great item for you.
It makes your refrigerator run colder on less energy...thereby reducing your power bills and your carbon footprint.

Very worthwhile.

GreenPlug energy saver has a MAJOR disadvantage!
Had this product for around three years. I believe it does what it claims in terms of energy reduction through frequency clipping.

I recently found EVERY AM RADIO in the house was unuseable. The interference was very easy to trace to this device. Had to toss it out.

Great product...
I've got a couple of these installed throughout my home. Takes only a minute to install and they work great. To be honest, I've only installed these into places where I didn't want to use the wall switch. So I can't vouch for the usability of the swtich itself. I use the remote to control the switches. These switches do dim, and they return to that same dimmed level after you turn on/off. These will work with your existing faceplate for a traditional wall switch.

I have yet to see light
I am a bit disappointed because tho the lights are an attractive addition to my yard, they have yet to come on at night. This was totally unexpected since they were brightly lit when I removed the battery strips. I've been waiting patiently for almost 2 weeks for all of them to build up a charge and light up. Once in a while, one is dimly lit but they're never all on at the same time.

Need sun
Malibu Outdoor Solar Powered Carriage Lights work fine if they are placed in direct sunlight,
not so good if they are in partial or full shade. In Oregon, 145 of the first 159 days this
year were overcast or worse. Not good for solar-powered lights.

Great product
These lights are very clear and bright and hold a charge all night. I was very pleased with this purchase - would recommend

solar lights
batteries needed replaced when arrived. 2 stay on 100% of the time so batteries need replacing daily.
i would be hard pressed to order another set.
